Fancy Dinner

Sam and I are trying to be better about stopping at a decent hour so we can have a nice meal together. These crabcakes were bought from Ingles, on special, and turned out to be really delicious! Sam whipped up a quick, kinda random aioli/tartar sauce. Broccoli was steamed and corn roasted in the oven.

The potatoes took much longer in the oven than I anticipated so I had to do a second round of coals to cook the second round of NY strips. Wine, water, onions and smashed garlic cloves are in the moat.

A deer eating fallen apples first thing in the morning. This one, or at least I think this is the one, likes to sleep with our chickens and visit me while I weed. It's becoming a 'deer' friend ;)
